Ernesto’s broad smile will welcome you to the heart of Paris. You are right on the doorstep of the Pompidou Centre, the historic Marais district, les Halles, the Saint-Eustache church, the pedestrian streets of Montorgueil and only a short ride from the main tourist sights of Paris (the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, les “Grands Magasins” department stores, the Champs Elysées, St-Germain des Prés etc.). The flat is spacious and the bedroom is furnished and decorated with taste in a chic, modern style with black lacquered furniture, trendy baroque-style curtains in black and silver, silver cushions and indeed the black and silver style dominates, getting you in the mood for the stylish Parisian night clubs which abound in this area. Another way to keep fit is to accept your host’s invitation to use his small gym, equipped with several machines. You may guess from Ernesto’s slight accent that he is of Mexican origin, but he knows his adopted city inside out, having worked in tourism in the capital for several years.
